Shipping Policies

On average, your order will be received in 7 - 10 working days. During August or December, delivery time may take longer.

Renting a Textbook

Books can be rented for the entire semester online and/or in store. The book(s) must be returned in the store by the deadline printed on the receipt. A replacement fee and a $25.00 penalty fee will be charged to the student if any book is returned after the deadline. If the book is damaged and is returned before the deadline, we will charge a replacement fee.

To rent books in store the student must bring in the following:

  • Current Pierce College student ID
  • Current Pierce College schedule of classes
  • Debit or credit card
  • LACCD school email address

 In Store Returns

Fall books must be returned by 09/06/2017.

• There is a 10% restocking fee for each eligible returned or exchanged textbook.
• There is a $2.00 shrink-wrap fee for broken shrink-wraps.
• You must provide the original purchase receipt in order to receive a refund.
• Supplies & non-textbook items must be returned within ONE business day of purchase, except as labeled.

• There are NO returns on workbooks, lab manuals/notebooks, and study guides.

 Exceptions to this policy include textbooks, media (music, video games, software) which is not shrink wrapped, and customized products. The textbook return guidelines are dependent on when the purchase is made. Please contact us if you have a question about returning a textbook. Customized products which are non-returnable include clothing with monograms, custom published materials (such as course readers or syllabi), and artwork which is printed, matted, or framed based on your order. Defective or incorrectly shipped product may also be returned during this same time period. To be eligible for a full refund, products must be in new condition and must be returned with all pieces originally shipped as well as the original box in which the product was shipped. Product that is not defective must be returned unopened. (Do not remove shrink wrap from product that is to be returned.) Please check packing list for return address information.

Your order must be returned or exchanged by the same date as in store (listed above). If that date has passed you must return your order within two business days after receiving it.

There are NO Returns on workbooks, lab manuals/notebooks, study guides, CD/DVDs. and access codes. If the textbook is shrink wrapped with an access code and is opened, it is not returnable.
